Foot reflexology is an ancient form of therapy; documentation that is at least 4500 years old exists in China and Egypt.
The Indians practice this method to this day, as was empirically researched and summarized in a study by the American MD Dr. William Fitzgerald (1872-1942).
Foot reflex zone massage helps to heal disturbed organ and tissue functions; reflexology improves the self-healing power of the body and can be applied to regulate the immune system, menstruation cycle, muscular imbalance and more.
Within the foot are different areas, which correspond to a specific part, gland or organ of the body. Through the application of pressure on these foot reflex zones, a stimulus is produced that helps to regulate the natural function of the related area of the body.
Foot reflexology can be performed either in a session on its own or combined with a massage or facial treatment.
